Coconut drinks are a nice reminder that Summer is out there somewhere, even during Winter. But if you can’t travel to paradise, why not bring paradise to you? With coconut drinks as The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf's main flavor in the Winter of 2018, I proposed the seasonal concept, “Escape Winter”. We used elements like palm leaves and fresh coconuts to put our guests in a tropical vacation mindset. So even though it was Winter, paradise was closer than they thought.
During my time at Hotel Emporium, I worked to create innovative designs in the competitive business of hotel amenities while leading the design team to ensure customer focused and cost effective proposals under tight deadlines.
Displayed are some of the emails that I have created for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
The video found at the bottom of this page was launched as our new “Summer Firsts” brand campaign. The team that I worked with was excited to use this opportunity and showcase the brand to new audiences in a fresh, contemporary manner, positioning our brand as, “First stop of Summer since 1963”.
It ran on all mainstream digital channels: YouTube pre-roll, Facebook ads, Instagram ads, Instagram story ads, Spotify ads and website display ads. This campaign was also integrated into our owned media channels: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Email.
"36 Days of Type is a project that invites designers, illustrators and graphic artists to give their particular view on the signs from our alphabet.
36 days of restless creativity, in which participants are challenged to design a letter or number for each day, resulting in an overall view of the ability to represent the same sign from many different perspectives.
A project that aims to create a space for creation around typography and its endless graphic possibilities."

I currently work as an Art Director at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf corporate office in Los Angeles.
My role is to develop the creative design of visual communications across multiple creative executions including in-store signage and POP, advertising, events, packaging and digital media for the US and International markets. I work to translate business and marketing objectives into designs that are compelling, visually appealing, and easily understood by guests.
In addition, I execute and oversee all elements of seasonal campaigns from creating mood boards, organizing shot lists, planning and leading the photoshoot, all the way through to post-production retouching call-outs and final project creation and production.
Northern Adventures is a project that I worked on to further develop my skills in branding and logo design. This very simple logo uses the “o” to play with the idea of the degree symbol used when mapping coordinates.
